Extenda is a product company with creative retail solutions for implementation of large-scale international programs and core product development. We deliver with fast implementations of new core functionalities and add-ons, as well as application support and maintenance. We are looking for a Risk and Compliance specialist to our product marketing unit whose responsibility is to manage Extenda’s product portfolio. You will find yourself in the intersection between sales, marketing and product management. 

The role as Risk and Compliance specialist

Extenda's products are deployed in 35 different countries and we intend to continue expanding into new markets. When entering into a new market, country specific services and configuration are packaged into what is referred to as a Country Module. As a risk and compliance specialist you will both be responsible for gathering and processing information about the new market aswell as monitor changing legislation in the countries already deployed. To do this you will need to work closely with international advisors. As a person you need to have a pragmatic mind to interpret these requirements and have the ability to both see "the devil in the details" as well as the overall helicopter perspective. 

We are currently revising and improving our ways of working when it comes to identifying and managing these legal requirements. Your first challenge will therefore be to define a strategy on how we optimize the information gathering process by using different partners and sources of information. 


  • Identify new partners and maintain existing partnerships.
  • Procure assignments from partners
  • Monitor changing legislation and process information about legal changes
  • Produce requirements specifications for development teams
  • Process owner for the management of legal requirements
  • Produce customer facing material that describe the applicable laws and how they have been implemented in the products
  • Communicate legal interpretations made to both external and internal stakeholders
  • Become subject matter specialist on our products
  • Deal with regulatory bodies for integration of our products to external systems and adaptions to functionality abroad
  • To thoroughly and meticulously research, examine and translate laws, official guidelines and existing working practices in order to provide comprehensive and astute analysis, which can then be turned into practical business workflows
  • Take a proactive role in preparing the business/product implementation of any legal changes where they can be foreseen

We are looking for

To succeed in this role we think that you enjoy working in project form and managing yourself. We think that you have good experience in business analysis, maybe from past experience with working as a management consultant in the IT business or fintech world with proven track-record of the ability to develop strong and differentiated B2B information business.

We think that you are a quick learner with great communicative skills and good at building relationships. We hope that you are a rational thinking, driven and well – organized with the ability to produce customer facing material that describe the applicable laws and how they have been implemented products.

Experience and skills

The main purpose of this position is to help us improve our ways of working when it comes to identifying and managing these legal requirements. Therefore we hope that you have experience from a similar position with a 3-5 year track-record of processing information about legal changes and produce requirements specifications for development teams.

  • Great understanding of and ability to identify, research, examine, interpret and translate laws, official guidelines, precedents and existing working practices
  • Self – starter who is proactive and driven
  • Experience from working as technical project manager, technical management consultant or other positions with similar tasks of legal compliance.
  • Experience from working with product roadmaps
  • MBa in Business and Administration, MSc Economics MSc Engineering
